I bought one,VHF.. I mailed it to the dealer so they could open it up so I can program with the key On the side.I got it back and when it asks for the password(JT1000) by default, it won,t let me in.(It just beeps,still asking for a password) Did the dealer screw up? The key I,m using is from my UHF JT Does that make a difference. Please help... Thanks

The default password is 581000

Right thats the default 581000 = JT1000 ..If you can get in & read the radio? you can see the password, change it, remove it,
