MCS2000 MPL Question

Post by KX5MOT »

I have a Model III UHF high power MCS2000 and i have it set up for MPL on each channel. Some channels already have a PL/DPL tone preprogramed to them via software, but when i activate MPL on a channel already preprogramed with a PL i cannot revert back to the original PL. So my question is: is there a way one could go about reverting back to the channel's defualt PL or turn off MPL?

Thanks, Jon

Not that I've found. This is one of the screwy things Motorola did with this radio. I'm having the same trouble, so I just turned MPL off and said the hell with it.

That is what I found also.
I love MPL on the other radios I have, but it just won't work the same on the MCS.

the original pl codes need to be in the mpl list so you can select it back. that's the only way i've found to do it. or that radio is 160 channels, just program duplicate channels with different pl's.
