Saber SVA question, probably dumb....

Post by Grog »

How does the SVA know which battery is attached to the Saber?

In other words, there are different hight batteries avaiable, and which ones are compatable with the SVA? It would seem that not all batteries would allow for the connector to make contact with the SVA (radio connector, not battery).

Thanks....

It can use any length battery, the battery is not the determining factor for how it sits. The SVA has a spring loaded arm that supports the radio by sitting against the bump out above the PTT button on the side. Inside the SVA there is multiple sets of contacts to work with each battery size, a neat design!
