need help changing pl in flexar repeater or changing it,or disabling it? its 143 now cant match to any thing i have in other radios. and matching ht is broken(ht300)

'143' would be a DPL (Digital Private Line) code. You may want to consider changing out the existing DPL board with something readily usable, such as a ComSpec encoder/decoder combo.

Even if you do find a tone PL board made for that unit, that still leaves you with the task of locating the appropriate tone codeplug for it. Motorola, for reasons known best to themselves, decided to make the tone PL generation in that series of radio dependent on the values of eight or so laser-trimmed resistors etched onto a custom-built ceramic hybrid. Said hybrids have not been manufactured for many moons.

My two bits worth:
The "Flexar" repeater is made from two "Maxar" mobiles.

Motorola probably dosn't make code plugs any more, but there are junk boxes like mine with many DPL plugs, as well as tone boards, both synthesized, and reed type.

The DPL code plug is the code number in octal. I have instructions how to make them. I figured it out one day on a mountain top when I had a broken code plug. They are ceramic, and easy to break.

Be sure that the grounds are all jumpered with heavy stranded wire.
There was an SRN when the flexar was new because there were problems if the antenna was grounded.

Let me know what code you need. I also have tone boards.
We modified a customer to DPL, I saved the old boards.

Maybe you can help me I am looking for a way to detect a pl or dpl tone from the flat detected audio in my 900 MHz sprectra so when that tone is received i can use it to key another radio so it will repeat on another band.
