A few XTS3000 Q's

A few questions for the masters...

I'm dealing with an XTS3000, and have run into some problems. I have the "B" position on the ABC switch set to Scan List Prgm, but when I go into it, I can't delete or select any channels. I also put "PROG" in the menu options, but with the same result, so you can't change the scan list on-the-fly. :x

Also, I have "CHAN" selected for a menu option, but it shows "SUB" on the radio, it works like the "CHAN", but I'm wondering why it says SUB.

Lastly, I know in the help it says 98, XP etc. you can't have a CPS password, and to use a windows password, but if someone takes your computer and reads the harddrive, or reads the radio itself, there's no password  , so I was wondering if there was a way to enable this option anyway?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Is the scanlist that you're trying to edit set for Operator Select, or is it Fixed only?

The scanlist is Operator Select now! And I changed the Sys/Sub. Thanks

On a side note, is there anyway to use the call lists to display who's talking, not just when they call?

You need to look at the zones/channels make sure the channel or channels you want to set up in scan are scan enabled. also the scan list may be maxed out.

you have the sys/sub selected instead of chan/zone.

and the password is stored in the radio not the computer if that is what you are asking!!!

also by the way, I AM NOT FIXING THAT RADIO AGAIN IF YOU MESS IT UP!!

LOL

I know about the radio password, but I was wondering if there's a way to enable the "Application Password" under Tools in the CPS. I got everything else working.
