Im about to mount a remote mount spectra 110 watt radio. Being that this is the first spectra or high power radio ive mounted, Im not sure about the size of fuse or breaker to install. What is the highest amperage this thing eats when transmitting? Also any other install tips? I know im going to have to provide power and ground to the head... I also saw a installation diagram around here somewhere I think. Ill post pics when im done, thanks!

35A will be sufficient, provided someone hasn't applied the Golden Screwdriver and cranked the power up over 110 watts. Personally, I'd set it for 100.

You'll need to provide A+ on the green (ignition sense) and orange (TX enable) lines. Ground isn't necessary.

Thanks, one more question... Is the large sliding switch on the bottom of the control head a power switch?

Yep. You'll need to either a. make sure that switch is accessible in the final configuration, or b. switch the radio on and off via a separate switch, master switch, or ignition control.

If the switch will be obscured, such as for console mounting, make sure you leave it in the on position! Sucks having to undo a console to flip a switch...
