What module are you trying to remove?

The DES module

Remove the back shield & VCO module, lightly push on the DES module's alignment tabs. That should bring the module up enough so you can get a small flat blade screwdriver underneath to lift it out.

I use a piece of duct tape... LOL
I know, sounds stupid but it works. A piece of good old 3M duct tape across the top of the module, rub over it a few times to get it stuck down good then just wiggle it up pulling on each end of the tape.
Yeah i know, a lazy bastard, i could also remove the rear shield and do that, but that also exposes the components on the back of the board and i can get it out faster that way then removing the screws and back.

If you read the service manual it states that Saber modules are designed to be removed with end cutters. The kind with the cutters at right angeles to the jaw. Thats what the grooves on the synthesizer module are for.

Yep, but that doesn't work for the DES/DVP modules. They are smooth without anything to grab on to.

I couldnt get the tape to work, so I removed rear shield and popped it out though the tiny slot. Thanks
