P1225 AUDIO PROBLEM

Has excellent audio with a remote speaker mic but barly any on the interna mic. This model P94ZRC uses the speaker/mic assemby with a 4 pin connector. I replaced the entire assembly and sill no audio using the internal mic. Is it possible that the speaker/microphone jack is bad like the GP300 & P110 were.????

Not only possible, but highly likely. The good news is they are much easier to replace in the P1225, since there are no components sitting on the solder side which require removal like in the GP300/P110 series.

Ahhh...I see what you mean. Now, if I can get a part number so I can order with my Moto online account.
Yes, still have nightmares changing those GP300 Mic Jacks. Brrrrrrr. After 40 or 50 it was still no easier. Thank you

P1225 jacks number 0180550V02. This is the double jack assembly that looks a lot like GP300 jacks.

what is the cost? and how much of a project is it to replace? I have one doing the same thing, I have never repaired on myself, but I am thinking of doing it.

Well, thanks for the info...Already ordered them today. Directly from Motorola they were $11.00 each.
Looks like its probably better just to snip out the old one than try to un-solder the small holes near those little bitty chips. Soldering in seems easier than un-soldering.
