HT1250/750- Are RIB-LESS cables functional?

I have seen many RIB-LESS cables available on E-bay, sold by "kawacam". Item Title: RIB-less full Program Cable Motorola HT750 HT1250 GP328 (Item number: 5878772650)
I hope this does not violate any policies, I am not listing this info to try to sell anything, I am just trying to find out whether the type of cable listed above will actually be able to program an HT750/1250 radio.
I have asked some of the sellers, but I think there is a language barrier, as the simple questions don't seem to get answered in an understandable manner.
Does anyone know if a rib-less cable like that will be able to both READ and WRITE to a HT750/1250 radio? I have the software CPS Version R04.00.00. Assuming I bought this kind of cable, would I need anything else to program the radios??
I'd appreciate advice from anyone with any experience with this sort of cables.
Thanks,
Andrew Schulcz
