I have a Syntor X9000 that i want to add a VHF "Extender" too, i am kinda on a tight budget so i'm looking over options that might work. I need a VRS that will interface with the Syntor X9000, but it doesn't have to have the ability to check for area VRS's because this will be the only one in the fleet. It can be Crystal driven, as i have the ability to recrystal it if needed. Any input would greatly be appreciated as i don't have the money for a Pyramid or Vertex Extender.

Thanks Mike

Get a Pac-RT for the cheapest, the next choice would be a VRS but they are harder to find and cost more.

About the only advantage the VRS has in my opinion is turning it on and off at the control head. The Pac-RT you just need a seperate on/off toggle switch for it and your set. There is Syntor X Pac cables floating around out there on the cheap, just have to modify it to work on a X9000. They did make a X9000 Pac cable, but the last one i saw went for over a $100.
