What is inside a Uhf Mdl# L44SUM700BT, repeater Desktrac ? Is it a maxtrac ? What type of RSS is used to program it?

Thanks

Actually, there are two Maxtracs inside. Usually, one has no PA/heatsink, and the other is a full Maxtrac chassis. You use Maxtrac RSS to program and align the individual radios and Desktrac RSS to program the repeater characteristics.

Which RSS is used to configure the rear DB-25 in/out connector configuration?

Neither. The pinouts of both accessory connectors, J2(external speakers) and J3(I/O) are hardwired and changeable only by adding or removing "accessory" boards like telephone interconnect, etc. Even the repeater TOT is only settable via a jumper plug on the front panel board. It *may* be possible to reprogram the individual Maxtrac accessory connectors(of which only one is used, as I recall) via the Maxtrac RSS. But I've never had to do this so am uncertain.
