HT1250 paging sensitivity

I have some VHF HT1250's that are setup for Fire paging. The QC II frequencies range from 346.7 to 589.0 These portables can be standing next to GP300's and those portables will be paged while the HT1250's are silent. Is it with the receiver sensitivity, frequency range or paging tone levels being sent from dispatch? Anyone else experience this?

What firmware revision is installed in the HT1250s? If it's dirt old (not R05.xx.xx), I'd flash them up before going any further in your diagnosis. There were lots of problems with older firmware revs, and you might be chasing your ass...

The HT1250's were purchased approx 6 months ago. I might add that in fringe receive areas the Gp's receive paging tones better and the alert tones go off. It also seems the HT1250's page better with higher paging tone frequencies. So, I would assume the portables have the latest update as far as firmware.
So the whole problem seems that low frequency page tones do not perform equally and receiver sens makes a big difference. I need to overcome these obstacles. The programming is correct also.

My 1250 is 7 yrs old and the QC II worked very well for the most part. only prob that I found is that if their is a week signal or with a lot of static the radio will not decode. ( glad my MV will ) the tones I have used were 701.0/ 2100.0 and 802.5/ 547.5 I dont know how strong and clear you signal is but something to check...Hope I could help.
