I was cleaning out a storage box at work & found a few dozen Motorola Advisor II pagers. From what I can tell they are Range "A" on 152.8400. We are licensed for paging on 152.7500. What is involved in converting / programming them to our frequency?

Plug them in and program them? Advisor IIs are synthesized. Here recently, they've released FLEX units... if they're older, they're going to be POCSAG. You need to ensure your current units are using one of the POCSAG flavors (512/1200/2400bps).

The cradle is the same as the Advisor Gold/Advisor Elite. You'll need the UPI and software, which you can (*gasp*) download for free from Moto's web site. The hardware will run you about $200.

Check your PMs.

I currently have a bunch of pagers with MetroHell / USA Mobility. 90% of them never leave the building. Soon as we install a filter panel & new feedline, the common carrier gets the boot.

If the bunch I found is usable (no clue till we try to program them), it's going to make finance even happier.
