Where can I find an on-line company that sells Antenex Phantom elite antennas for a decent price???

Has anyone used the VHF one for HAM & how did it perform?

Antenex Phantom antennas...

There are a large number of comments and threads on this site about
this subject so you will probably find what you need in a search.

Basically, most of these units are 0db gain antennas, and on VHF their
bandwidth is pretty narrow.

Best source for the units is http://www.waltel.com.

Did a few searches -- didn't really find anything -- http://www.waltel.com is no longer functioning.

I did a search of Antenex + Phantom and got about 40 hits, some of which
are specifically Phantom Elite.

If Waltel is not functioning it's a very recent event, and if it's true it's too bad
as Jeff is/was a very reliable source for antennas.

Wow, by the "tone" of Waltel website (what's left of it anyway) it doesn't sound good.

Too bad, I had a few good dealings with Jeff. I hope this isn't permanent! :(

I currently have a UHF version of the Elite on a 2006 Infinity and it works very well on my system, but I am in Los Angeles with repeaters in high elevations.
On direct communications with a 100w mobile I have seen 10-12 miles with ease in both analog & digitial.
It all depends on what you are trying to do, a 1/4 wave is always a good choice.
