ASTRO SABER ERROR CODE 02/82

Hello,

I have Mod III AS that's been working perfectly fine for severlal years. I turned it on one day and got this error code. It has not worked correctly since. I've turned the radio on and off several time. Let it sit for weeks without a battery ect. Any ideas? The service manual staes the following;

Description
DSP External SRAM1 Failure U402

Action
Turn the radio off then on.

Then this notes follows and the bottom;
Note: If the corrective action does not fix the failure, replace the controller board.

Anyone know of a way around this? I can still read and write to the radio. I cannot put it into test mode.
