XTS3000 Questions (RX Mode)

Post by GEMOTO »

I am having an XTS3000 programmed for me. I had a few questions occur to me while making a spreadsheet of programming data.

1. Can a mode that is normally used in analog receive w/ PL or DPL be set to mixed mode receive so if there is any digital activity on that mode I will hear it but also allow me to listen in analog WITH PL/DPL.

2. The Flashcode of the radio is 500008-000400-7 which according to the RR decoder allows the following options:

Q806/G806 IMBE / APCO-25 Digital Operation
H14/G114 Digital ID Display
H38/G51 SmartZone Operation
Q173/G173 SmartZone OmniLink Operation

With this Flashcode am I able to initiate an MDC Page from a set list or by "Scratchpad"..just typing in the ID? This is a Model 3 w/ full keypad.

and finally #3. On the main screen many radios I have seen have zone and prog on the front. Are these programmable in the CPS. I would like to have zone on the left and prog on the right but also hit the -> or <- keys to access other memory items.

Thanks for any help you can provide,

1. Yes, set the RX Type to Mixed Mode. You can program PLs for the analog side and NACs for the digital side. Bear in mind that you'll be forced to select either ASTRO or Analog transmit.

2. No, I believe you need Q181 for that. I'm not big into MDC, so I'm not certain on this one.

3. Yes, the menu lists are programmable under Radiowide, in the same place that you program buttons and switches. You can program a. what items appear and b. what order they appear in, with a separate list for conventional and trunking.
