HELP!! HT1250 codeplug problem "rdkString0bj_1603_2307&

Post by n7maq »

Hello, I’m having a problem with a UHF HT1250. It will not let me program it. The radio works just fine, and I can read it OK with CPS (R06.05.03), but when I try to write back to the radio (EVEN IF I MAKE NO CHANGES AT ALL) I will get an error, and it tells me I have an invalid field. Now here is the weird part, the error it self. It shows this rdkString0bj_1603_2307 "not shown in any window" . I just got the radio at a swap meet, so I don’t have any saved archives from that radio. I did a firmware update (R05.09.02), and that did not correct the problem. If I had a good codeplug to clone I would try that, but I don’t. So, has anyone else seen this? And do you know a good fix aside from sending it to the Depot.

Thanks,

Jim.

rdk string object is part of your registry, did you try and hack the software for different areas? what is the exact model number of your radio?

No, the software is untouched, loaded from the CD that was sent to us form Moto. I have tried on three machines also. The flash utility did work just fine with this radio.

The full model number is AAH25RDH9AA6AN

Thanks,

Jim.

i wouldn't be flashing the radios if you have problems. it still sounds like you have registry problems. have you tried a virus scan on your computer?

The computer has full protection. It only does it with this one radio, and I have tried 3 computers. We program a lot of HT750-1550's every week ( I work for a dealer), and this is the only radio doing it. That is why I think it's in the codeplug.

Thanks,

Jim.

Yes, the codeplug is corrupted. There seems to be an extra checksum verification or something when writing as opposed to simply reading the radio, as I've seen this occur before. The only way I know of to fix it is to clone an identical model codeplug into it. Give us the model# of your radio, maybe someone has a codeplug they could send to you.
