Just wondering if I may be programming my cm300 wrong.

I have set up the unit to Tx a proper ID. But I don't know where to program the decode options. My CPS is R05.04.

Or am I miss informed about the MDC1200 PTT ID decode.

it's right under the recieve frequency & pl section just like the tx. set it to mdc. i don't think that radio has aliases but it can decode.

Alias's are what I was trying to get. But I didn't see a spot for it like other cps software.

why wouldn't mother M allow alias? just numerical id's don't mean much to my customers?

any thoughts?

When I setup radios to Alias the ID's, I put them in the MDC Call Drop-Down list. Even though you may not use the call feature, that's where I alias them to, and it works ok like that here.

my guess is because it's a cheaper series radio and there aren't many charachters on the display anyway.
