R.I.C.K. to phone

Post by 911-EMT »

I have a R.I.C.K. repeater build with 2 CDM1250’s, I’m trying to do something like a phone patch to access the repeater via phone line if out of the coverage area, so my question is.
1) Could the R.I.C.K. HLN3333B do phone patch?
2) if yes do I need to do any configuration in the rss?
3) if no is there any external accessory that could make it happen?

Sorry but the basic RICK will not do the job. I'm not sure but Motorola did make a box that would interface with Maxtracs, GM300, ext, I think the part number was TDN8196. That box went into the 16 pin port, of the radio, and had a jack for Interconnect. I'm not sure if the RICK you have has an option port or even if it will. Your best bet is to go with the Zetron Controller that is offered from Motorola.

A zetron model 30 would work great for your application. It's a phone patch and also a repeater controller. i've used these many times on motorola products and they work great. I believe you can set things like auto answer and inactivity timers.

visit the following link:

You many not be able to click on link, might have to copy and paste it into your address bar.
