when I go to the F6 edit control head buttons area....I have RSSI set to the small H/L button on the A5 head...when I scroll with the arrows I lose the RSSI function on the screen??? it goes thru ALL the other button options and back to Blank...RSSI is in the radio now, and when you read the radio it shows the RSSI button on the edit screen, once you hit the up/down arrows to see the other button names, RSSI wont rotate back...and its not available on any of the other buttons either??? why do I have it now and cant bring it back?? Thanks David
p.s. all I could get from the guy who set it that way is "you have to go to the control head assembly" I think he ment in the RSS...is there some trick to get RSSI on the radios buttons to show back up??

I know on the A5's that I've dealt with, I could only select RSSI on one of the buttons along the top, never on the three teeenie ones.
Might try setting it to one of the buttons above the display.
Good luck...hope it helps.

The RSSI function is only available with a certain firmware version or later. Perhaps your radio has an older version and you're just fighting with it.

my radio has RSSI currently programmed and working on the H/L button...I saw the guy who originally sold me the radio...put it in...but I dont know how he did it...all I could get from him is he said "you have to go to the control head assembly area"??? I dont know where that is on the RSS, perhaps he used spectraLab RSS??

Sounds like the microprocessor is hickupping. Try resetting the microprocessor and see if that helps.
RSSI should be available on just about every button position, if I remember correctly.
