I looked around on Mikes site,but didn't

Yes, and i have worked out most of the details on it. The biggest problem is finding the rear head cable, or making one from other cables. It's basically a control cable with no orange or green wires at the control head and a passthrough "T" on the radio end, like a siren/pa cable.

The rear head is a 1071 with the power switch blocked in the on position. You can convert a 1073 and possibly other model heads to a 1071. You can't run two 1033's, i've tried it.

Forgot to mention.. If your not against hacking up the cables you can just piggyback the connections at the radio connector.

I bought some replacement connector contacts for the radio end off fleabay a while back and had planned to take a couple control cables and recrimp them together at the radio end, thereby eliminating the passthrough connector.

Of course you could also strip and solder in the second cable, etc.

The model number of head mentioned is not entirely true. You don't need to have a 1071 or a 1076 in order to do this. What you do need is a 1036 or above for both heads. 1045 will work, 1063 will work, 1062 use as a wheel chock, 1073 will work for front or rear.

1033 will work if you upgrade the processor. Early on, I ordered and upgraded several processors in 1033 type heads and made them work in F/R applications.

One note: the head must be equipped with an 8K eeprom. If you upgrade a control head processor, it will not work unless the eeprom is upgraded to 8K.
