Hi,
If I brought my old Advisor Pro to the local Motorola shop, that programs pagers, could they pull the Datacast capcodes off of the pager? Could they be able to tell me what the local flex datacast capcodes are, since they handle the programming for local American Messaging (SBC)?

They would be able to pull up all that info via the programming software, as long as the pager doesn't have any kind of a password that prevents them from doing so.

There are a few sites out there if you google for them that actually have some of the common carrier passwords.

However, keep in mind that some of the newer pagers can be programmed OTA, and probably have different passwords assigned to them based on some other scheme.

With an Advisor pro, it shouldn't be a trouble - if it's PageNET, THEBEST usually works, I don't know if they are case sensitive or not.

It was with Minncomm paging, which was SBC, which is now American Messaging.
