anyone ever try to interface mtrunker to a vselp astro spectra 800 to make a vselp trunking scanner? would this even be possible to do?

since vselp trunk trackers are not available i thought this may be a solution to monitoring those older systems like the trenton, nj public safety system

It could be possible as long as you can extract the unfiltered, decoded digital audio. But then all you need to do is just listen to the radio to listen in. No need for the slicer or anything.
