HSN1005A Amplified Speaker Questions

Post by ke6vqy »

I am looking for the pinout for this speaker.

What type of connector is this called and where could I buy one so I can make my own connections? Is this a standard connector I can get at Radio Shack or a special Motorola one that I'll have to replace?

I am trying to connect this speaker to a scanner with a 1/8" (3.5mm) mini-plug. All I know for sure is that the audio and power CANNOT share the same ground.

Any help on how to make these connections is appreciated.

I found a manual for this. In case anyone is wondering, the pinouts are as follows:
Pin 1 (Blu) INPUT
Pin 2 (Blk) PWR GND
Pin 3 (Blk-Wht) SPKR
Pin 4 (gnd) INPT SHLD
Pin 5 (Red) 12V IN
Pin 6 (Wht) AMP OUT (Jumpered to Pin 3)
