if it said AMBE, then NO, it's not P25 compliant.

that's a totally different vocoder that's not compliant with P25

Did you even click the link? My guess is "no"

=== VX-P920 P25 Digital Series Radios...
The submersible VX-P920 series of wide band P25 APCO Digital portables offer an incredible range of features in a convenient package. ===

The answer is yes.

While it does say that, it also says

P25 Digital Mode:

* P25 Digital Conventional
* AMBE+2™ Vocoder

Not sure what the +2 stands for.

Maybe they mean phase II? Otherwise it doesn't make much sense, but rather more confusion..

the vertex site: http://www.vertexstandard.com/indexVS.c ... Archived=0

seems to show "IMBE+2" as the codec.. what the "+2" means is a mystery.

Vertex......

WHEN it breaks, you'll have your replacement parts 5 months later.
If it goes in for warranty repair you will get either:

A) "It can't be repaired"
B) it back 50% repaired 8 months later for the price of a new radio.

We won't touch 'em with a 50 foot pole anymore. Unless it starts with a "K" or "M", good luck getting parts or service.
