ht1000 - how can i make it scan on power-on automatically?

hi everyone, forgive my stupidity but i'm stumped... i have a ht1000, all was great until i broke my abc switch (hit it off of a chair, now i have b only). anyway, i programmed the radio so that side button 1 is "scan program on/off", 2 is select, and 3 is monitor. When I turn the radio on I have to press the scan on/off button manually.

Is there any way to make it so that the radio is automatically in scan without the a-b-c switch in use? thanks!

Without having the RSS in front of me, how about programming "B" for scan? Not sure that's one of the options, but if it is . . .

NO, just the quirk of the HT1000 Jedi series.

To replace the A B C switch the entire controls flex is replaced. But if you are good at soldering the switch to the thin flex, it can be changed.

"When I turn the radio on I have to press the scan on/off button manually. "
Yes you do, and there is no audible button press tone to tell us that the button got pressed.

Mine too! I have "A" as scan "B" = repeater "C" =talkaround
its just one way
But whenever I turn it on, ex: if its on "A" it scans works with the C modles I have & maybe the JT1000's (I don't recall)
