error code 09/10

Post by Dover IT »

We have been experiencing alot of Error 09/10 codes on our Astro Spectra Mobile radios. Is this a common problem that there is a possible fix for or are all our secure modules going bad ?????

normally the secure module is held in place securely in the astro spectra.

however

i have seen some radios where the secure module is plugged into the vocon WITHOUT THE METAL SHIELDING "CAN" ON THE MODULE.

if this is your case, they are probably intermittently working their way loose.... either way, pop the vocon out of the chassis and take a look... easy and cheap to inspect (2 top cover screws and 4 vocon hold-down screws)

Batteries in cars dropping below about 11 volts, causing the radio to lose power to the secure module for an extended period? *shrug*
