Do I have positive or negative side switch for wigwag purposes?

Check the headlight wires on the passenger side, there should be a Light Green w/ a Black trace. If that is there than the lights are positive switched BUTTTTTTT the wires need to be diode protected to prevent feedback. to the BCM.

wouldnt most current on the market headlight flashers come with diode protection already built in?
which is a good brand?

No because many of them simply interrupt the signal between the two highbeam lights so that it can alternate them. My first pick is SoundOff Signal. Most of their flashers can be had for around $50.00.

Its positive switching.
The wire harness that runs along the drivers side fender is where the wires are. You are looking for the green wire...looking kinda like a pea green.
I am using a Whelen 2150 equivilant flasher. Can't go wrong, and they are cheap. 1 to 7 flash patterns are available depening on the actual flasher you use.
