Trying to use a TinyTrak3Plus and 2 channel 5 pin Maxtrac 100 through RJ45 mic jack. Not having much luck. Anyone have one? TT3 will transmit and gets through to radio, however never gets a carrier light on the TT and walks on other stations. Have never seen a position report either. GPS shows to work per TT. I must have a config. problem, cable or radio issue. In other words, everything could be wrong! Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like you may very low or no receive audio into the TT3. As i recall you have to enable handset option in the software to get audio out of the mic jack. There is also a resistor that limits the output that may have to be jumpered on the circuit board. I had similar problems trying to get audio for a headset from that jack.
Good luck.

Ok, thanks. Enabled the handset, but it made no difference. Any idea which resister to jump to increase the audio?
Thanks!

In case anyone cares to know the fix:

On the very last page of the Byonics manual it mentions the fact that TT3+ is configured for handheld radios and that the audio output will not be enough to work with mobile radios. You have to adjust the RX audio sensitivity and place a jumper on R5 to double the audio output before the TT will work with the maxtrac. I decided to run the interface leads to the logic board so that I could also provide 12+ to run the TT3+ as well as the GPS. With the ignition sense hooked up it works great. :D
