Hi
I got a MTS2000 (#H01RDD9PW1BN) and MTS2000 CPS ver. R01.10.00.
When i try to read from the radio, i gets this error message:
Why? Do i have to old CPS or what?
What's the latest CPS/RSS for MTS2000?
(PC running XP PRO SP2)

Latest version is R02.00.01.
Not sure what that error means. Can you read other radios with the CPS that you have?

I only have one MTS2000, so i can't try.
I use and old laptop to run RSS for my GP900 radios.

What is the firmware version of your MTS2000? Older versions are not compatible with CPS, must use DOS RSS.

How do you check the firmware version?

Jedi Info and Self Test
(works on all "Jedi" radios-- MTS2000,MT2000, MTX8000/9000, JT1000 and I believe HT1000)
Power up your radio. It should say "Self Test" and then beep and show you its initial mode.
Press the bottom of the 3 small buttons 5 times quickly. The one you want is right above the PTT button.
You should get a BEEP. The info scrolls kind of quicky so pay attention!
Your display will show SERVICE, then the radio version (R x.xx) then the model then serial numbers.
On a new enough MTS, it will then say FLSHCD then the first and second half of the flash code.
We need the R x.xx to tell you what version of the software you need to program your radio.
If it's older, you may need DOS RSS, or you may find that the radio is not a MTS but a MTX or an MT2000 in the wrong case.
