CDM 1250 QCII

Post by JD »

Any one know how to program a 1250 so that when it receives a QCII tone, it will open up and control the COR line , pin #8. I also have a PL tone setup on the receive channel , the CDM will open on this tone alone .

THe COR line changes state on either a PL or QCII valid tone. The COR line is controlling a relay and I only want it to operate on a valid QCII signal.

The COR line is set for CSQ and PL/talk group.

Thanks.

The steps are as follows:
1. Create a QCII system with the parameters you desire.
2. Assign the system created in step 1 to the personalities you wish to use it with.
3. Program one of the accessory pins for external alarm(output), either active high or low and with or without debouncing.

The PL/CSQ output that you mentioned in your post is working as
it should, i.e. the output goes true when the specified condition(s) exist. If you wish to activate an output on just QCII signalling decode the external alarm output should do that for you.

AL,
I can not get pin #4 to go low when a valid QC II is received.
The radio is set as follows:
Conv. Pers.:
OPtions = And muting/or Muting
Sig. Sq = AND
Signalling Config:
Call Alert and Sel Call are both checked.
Basic Sel Call is checked.

CallAlert/Sel Call:
Call Alert Type= Call Alert with Voice
Auto reset Timer Type= Auto w/ carrier over ride

Menu button 4 turns External alarm on and off.

Thanks for your help.

Does the CDM actually beep through the internal speaker when a valid QCII call is received? If it doesn't, check the signalling page for the personality that you've assigned the QCII signalling system to; Make sure that the "PL/DPL required" checkbox is either checked or unchecked as appropriate. If the speaker emits beeps when a valid call is received, you probably have to unassign the external alarm on/off function from button 4....If I remember correctly, the external alarm control can't be mapped to two sources i.e. button 4 and QCII decode at the same time.

Yes it does beep or alert with the first page, and then on the second page the the audio passes.
