Was browsing thru the M website and was looking at the warranties offered on different type of radios.

I didn't look at each and every radio but here goes a small sampling, so the list is not all inclusive to each and every radio offered;

The XTS5000, XTS2500, XTS1500, and MT1500 appear to have a one year warranty.

The EX500 & EX600XLS appear to have a 3 year warranty,

and radios like the HT750/1250/1550, PR860, PR1500, and CP200 to name a few seem to have 2 year warranty's.

What's up with all the different warranty's on the different types of radios?
There has to be some logic or reasoning behind it....

The above price book radios seem to have a shorter warranty because they are used by agencies more then the consumer or in price book radio because the consumer is not so hard on the radio. That is the answer I get from our motorola rep, I think it is because agencies have money and they know the agencies will pay top dollar for repairs. And Motorola sells more above price book radios more then anyother radio.
