CDM 1250 Remote head programming

Post by resqman57 »

I am having trouble reading my CDM 1250 UHF "T"band remote head mobile, is it a user error on my part? Should I be doing something different because it is a remote head?

Is it the Motorola remote mount kit or a Quickmount? People have reported programming the Moto ones okay, but the Quickmounts won't let you program them, you'd have to put the radio back to a one piece to program.

I've found with the Quickmounts, you have to connect the programming cable directly to the front of the CDM, and Quickmount tells users this in their manual. There's no need to replace the original control head on the CDM, just plug into the Quickmount-supplied replacement front end.

Ok, searching through a few more forum posts, looks like it's the dual head quickmount that you can't program through.
