I use it for batteries on my Ht-1250 radio batteries, both oem and garden state batteries work well, although seeing as we are a volunteer department, i really couldnt tell you how effective it really is, it seems to repair some batteries and has eliminated the need to replace some batteries in the past. just my opinion

They are good units, but that one is almost 10 years old. They are made by Itech. As old as that one is, it may not do Lithium ion with out a firmware update. It looks like that one has 1 pocket for a Jedi battery, and the rest, your guess is as good as mine, they are for a bigger battery, like a BK or something. The pockets are around $20.00 each for Ni-Cad and around 40 to 50 for Ni-Mhi and $100.00 for Li-ion.
On a side note, I'm going to be up in Seattle this weekend, and I will be doing some train watching when in town. Are you on 440, or 2-meters?
Jim.
