Antique gurus, I managed to piece together a Maratrac siren and tried to make it work...no luck. It wont. I have the correct DEK HLN 1393A and Siren HLN 1318A, but I'm curious on the control cable. THe one I found is HKN 4337A. Is this the correct cable?
Thanks

The HKN4337A is the cable specified my the Maratrac manual, i went through this all before. I found a siren box and Maratrac DEK but it took six months more to find the darn cable, so you got lucky.
I have the wiring diagram for the cable, i'll dig it up if you want it.
Is it powering up, does the DEK light up?

No, it's not powering up...the DEK isn't lighting up at all.
pwer, ground, all are connected as typical including both the ignition sense wires.
I checked for power at the siren and showed 13.8 volts (using a regulated astron supply)
but nothin at the dek. I thought I had an X9000 control cable at first, but turns out there's somethin else wrong.
Suggestions?

Open up the DEK and check for continuity from the green and orange wire to the circuit board inside, or have it connected to power and check to make sure there is power inside on pins 47 and 15.
I had X9000 cables where the ignition sense lead got yanked on too hard when removed from a vehicle and the connection was broken in the molded end.
You should also see supply voltage at pin 44 and pin 31 at the DEK, and switched 5v at pin 29.
You also might want to open up the siren amp and check inside for power, sometimes you get an intermittent connection on the large X9000 style connector also. There should also be supply voltage at pin 6 and pin 12, and 5v at pin 30.
If any of those voltages aren't present than it won't power up, i went through this routine on one, found bad connections one at a time until i finally got it working.
