Just got my M5 back from repair as the amp fried the unit.

Paperwork with it still says that the amp problem is being worked on and a new one will be sent out to me once they figure out the problem.

My dealer has mine and said they will contact me when the problem has been solved. So has the problem been solved so I can call my dealer?

got my my amplified charger today. never saw the old one but the dealer stated they changed the look of it and the power supply. it is not a wall bug anymore. it has about an 18 ac plug to the transformer than about 24 inched of cable out of the dc side.

Hopefully the new and improved model won't fry the pager you put in it this time around.

I have had mine for a week. It now has a new problem. Motorola is playing stupid, saying that I'm not seating the pager correctly.

What happens now is when you place the pager into the charger, the red pager light comes on solid, but the battery light just flashes. If you put the battery itself into the battery slot, the pager light does the same thing. I asked my local dealer about it, but they are clueless on what this might mean.

BE VERY CAREFUL.....I don't think Motorola has this thing fixed yet. My brand new battery isn't even charging.

I was given back my amp chargers from my dealer. Motorola said it was a bad battery and gave a me a date code and said any battries with this date code throw out. Fine i did. While checking out the units myself before putting them back in service one of them killed my battery again. Now i still think there is a problem here.
