Repeater Antenna?

whats a good omni repeater antenna for a uhf gmrs repeater?
i need "n" female connector....atleast 3bd gain.
up to $300 in cost.
any ideas or opinions greatly appreciated.

You could make your own too. There are plans on the internet.

You can get a new DB-408 with 6.6 dbd of gain from tessco for $332 + ship. Comes to around $490 or so shipped.... Or you could get a new DB-404 with 3.8 dbd gain for $189 + ship.. Those are new prices so the later of the two would be exactly what you are asking for.. go to http://www.tessco.com and look around... antennas will last 30 yrs or longer...

Suck it up and buy one. It's worth putting the right stuff in the air... plus, you don't end up having to climb the tower again when the hammy-grade stuff fails.

Well many commercial and GMRS repeaters run the ComTelco BS450XL4.5C antenna with great results.

A true 4.5 dbd omni gain and wide band copper elements, N fe connector.
Cost with the correct clamp set $227

Not good at all, and for sure not for a duplexed repeater antenna.
