XTS 5000 FPP questions

Forgive my ignorance, but I was not aware that the XTS 5000's could be flashed for FPP on the 800MHz band.

Does anybody have the scoop on what kinda things you can do with this? I have a FPP VHF so I know about that end and the conventional stuff. Does a FPP 800 let you change talkgroups on the fly, or does it strictly work in conventional mode? What other things can you do if it works with trunking?

I am just curious - the 800MHz FPP concept is new to me..

Don't believe a radio equipped for FPP will do trunking.

I think he means... the radio is capable of trunking personalities with the appropriate flash but the FPP can only be used in conventional channels.

Got it.

FPP on conventional.

No FPP on trunking.
