I have a HT750 that will sometimes beep when switch is off. What causes that? I am thinking about upgrading the firmware. I have R05.10.05 upgrade for HT1250's. It this same upgrade for HT750's?

All the waris series HTs use the same firmware.

Not exactly; there are two versions of Waris firmware upgrades - one for non-4-line display radios including the non-display radios, and the other for four line display radios like the HT1550. Be sure you use the correct version.
Arlo, is your HT750 charging while turned off while it emits beeps? If it is, there's an SRN that covers that. Involves a zener diode change and the diode's easy to get to on the PCB.

It is charging. What's the details on the SRN?

SRN 1303 says to change zener diode VR450 with p/n 4802245J77. That diode is located near the flex connectors and can be replaced without removing any shields or the radio chassis. As you view the PCB from the rear after removing the front housing and flex, VR450 is along the bottom edge of the PCB, just to the right of the rightmost flex connector.

I found it. It is SRN-1303B. The zener is VR450 near the small flex connector.

does your radio have a orange or blue gasket around the power terminals, if it's orange that gets changed too with the upgrade kit. if yours is already blue then more than likely the diode has already been changed.

It was orange, but I have a blue to go in it.

One of my HT750's used to have this problem, and it was really quite annoying.
It went to Motorola and came back with a new housing, new back plate, and a blue gasket (containment kit), and the problem never happened again. It was covered by warranty I guess, so it didn't cost anything.

The blue gaskets are the new ones that have fingers that go under the battery contacts and give them some extra support and spring. This helps the power off-on and beeps when radio is carried on a belt clip.
