Is this a preamp?

There is a small module located above L(, L10 and L11 in some UHF mitreks I just bought. Is this a preamp? This is the first time I have seen this.
Yes the RX preamp is before L1 in the big helical casting. Look at the bottem side, you can see the preamp module tucked into the hollow of the helical casting.
There may be some info in the Mitrek section on repeater-builder.com.
Mikie has done a good job of collecting articles on the Mitrek for use as an amature repeater.
