CP200 with Error 2436

Post by arlojanis »

I have a CP200 that when I read or clone I get error 2436--codeplug is corrupted. Is there any cure than a UPS label to depot?

Is this an old radio with new CPS? Or a new radio with old CPS? I seem to recall trying to use the new CPS a while back with a radio that had been on the shelf for about a year and getting this, using the old CPS made it go away.

This is a radio that failed during use. When switched on, it gives a low pitch bonk, then silence. Tried to read to see if programming was still there. Got the error message.

I have noticed from the form that this seems to be a fairly common problem with CP200. I just received a customers CP200 with the same problem. When you try to read or write to the radio you get the 2436 error code. I am sure that this problem occured in the field and not due to bad programming. Has anyone found a fix for this other than sending it to Mexico?

Thanks

Joe.
