I have a R-100 that I am trying to program, however I am unsure of how to program the PL into the unit. I can program tx/rx freqs fine, but where is the option to change the pl code from 103.5 to 107.2 for example. Also, if anyone happens to have a manual on the unit itself that would be very helpful also. Thanks.

I would have to fire up the RSS to double check on this, so hopefully someone immediately knowledgeable will chime in also, but i think if you have a DPL model or one without the tone option it won't show up in the RSS if you read the repeater?

.
The R100 program does not recognize the cursor arrows.
Use the number keys across the top of the keyboard.
The Num Lock and Caps Lock keys may need be activated for
the program to work properly.
KEY Function
2 Move down within Menu
4 Scroll back
6 Scroll forward
8 Move up within Menu
L List prog. options to display or printer
F Select special function
ESC Return to Main Menu
Enter Select option next to cursor or terminate data entry
Ctrl-C Quits the program
Right from the manual....

As KB0NLY had stated....
A DPL Unit will only do DPL
A TPL Unit will only do TPL
And a CSQ Unit will only do CSQ.
This is just how they are.
If you still cannot find any fields to enter a tone, it's quite possible that it's a 'CSQ only' unit.

Rayjk110/KB0NLY, not quite....
Either Model R100, PL or DPL will do:
No tone, or carrier squelch on TX or RX
TX PL or DPL and carrier RX
TX no tone or DPL, and PL or DPL RX.
There was NO carrier squelch R100 version, just the PL was disabled.
There is a MENU with PL, DPL, then ENTER on the one you want to change. Entering zeros (I think) will make it do carrier squelch, on TX or RX.
Altho you can change the programming, the above IS true. The uProcessor in the receiver or transmitter IS different for a PL than for a DPL capable radio.

Mike, there were two versions that look much the same, 10 watt LPI capable and the 25 watt.
There are two power control pots, Hi Pwr, and Volt Lim on the Exciter Command/Logic board that adjust the TX power.
