I’m trying to record a msc2000 via accessory port to a pc to the mic input by using recall could be found at http://www.sagebrush.com/recall.htm and wan a get audio from the radio all I her on the radios speaker is static, I used it before on a spectra with no problem those anybody know a difference between the the spectra and the mcs2000 audio.

What pin are you using on the MCS2000 to obtain TX audio?

pin 1 and 2, 3 i left the jumper for the internal speaker and took pin 1 and 2-3 for external speaker

Not sure if I'm following you correctly, but the jumper should be left in place between 1 & 2 to keep the internal speaker & you can use pin 3 to tap the RX audio. There is a biasing voltage of approx 5.75Vdc on the pin, you should run it through a 1uF capacitor to eliminate the voltage into your sound card. That might help.

You could also try using pin 11, which is the discriminator audio output.

Pins 4 & 10 are ground, if needed.

Yes Todd your correct there is a jumper between pin 1and 2, and the cable is attached to the jumper and to pin 3 so I have both the internal and external speakers, the external speaker is used for recording, however I followed your advice to put a capacitor and it worked (I used a 2.2uF I had that in shop and it worked) thanks todd.

Pin 11 is Filtered RX Audio OUT.

Good thing is it is not affected by the radio's volume control, so the recording level stays the same.
The 'coupling' capacitor IS needed here also, + to the radio.
