Motorola Minitor 5 Recall????

Has anybody heard that there may be a recall on the minitor V's? One of the guys that works on radios in our county said that he heard that, and I was kind of wondering if he's full of it.

We have had some issues with the batteries on the V's not getting a full charge. About 15 minutes after putting a dead pager on the charger the light turns green on the charger. We have had 4 or 5 new V's out of 40 with this problem. I don't know whether or not that's a battery issue or a charger issue.

Other than that we haven't had any problems with the new V's. Maybe that battery deal is why they might recall??? Let me know if you've heard anything or if anybody has had any problems with them.

The most recent SRN indicated there was a problem with batteries when used in conjunction with the amplified charger. I do not recall seeing anything about a recall of the unit itself, though this may be an issue unrelated to the one you're experiencing.
