KVL Eprom ID ?

i spent some time yesterday opening & comparing 7 kvls

the T3011ax & bx units had TRN9853A eprom while the 3011cx had a TVN6087A eprom. my question is, is this the proper eprom for the cx ?

google showed NO reply to this #

any ideas/help ?

additionally, i have read of the kits to u/g the bx & cx to dx, however i was not clear on the actual eprom #

and, a 3020ax had a trn4836a 'personality' module. this part # has also been shown as a 'spectra' secure module. does this mean that the kvl and spectra use the same module ?

any other similar situations with other radios ?

and lastly, a t3011dx .pdf would be greatly appreciated as would a .hex or .bin

thanks in advance

Many questions in one single post.

Yes, you use another type of EPROM for the C-series of keyloaders. The EPROM contains the program code for the internal CPU of the KVL and is protocol specific.

All 30xxABCD Series KVL´s must have a secure hybrid installed in order to work and the hybrid installed must match the encryption protocol you need to keyload (DES,DES-XL,DVP,DVP-XL or DVI-XL) and it must also match the internal EPROM mentioned above.

A program EEPROM for DES-XL keyloading will not work with a DVP Hybrid etc.
