USING SPECTRA WITHOUT CONTROL HEAD. HOW ????
I have a bunch of spectra's, Both low and high power. Problem is that we dont have control heads or cables. How can we use these radios as transceivers without the control heads and cables.
Jumper two pins on the accy plug and away you go...
The Spectra will revert to the HOME channel and the preset volume setting that was in the last codeplug. You can still read and write to the radio from the computer/RSS, run tests, ect.
IGN lead jumpered to the SWITCHED A+ , pin 4 & % on the 15 pin accy plug.
IGN lead thru a 1 amp fuse to the main A+......
I think it is pins 20 & 22 on the DB25 connector for a trunk mount radio. You still need IGN on pin 5 on the 15 pin accy jack.
Speaker pins 6 & 7 15 pin accy jack. Use stadard IGN cable with the speaker jack on it.
These cables are standard in our test cable set for Spectras.
