Batboard

I have now a half-laptop. Screen is broken so it's been removed, and it's just the keyboard bottom half.

I want to put this in my car along with an external WiFi antenna. Right now it's just two mini-coax (is it even coax?) cables dangling out the side since I removed the screen.

I would be drilling a hole in the laptop plastic (yes I'll check if there is available space under it!) for ... what's the best connector.. SMA? Then what coax should I run to the antenna? ... should I even bother!?

Excuse my curiosity but without a screen whats the point?

Hahah... I'm getting an in-dash LCD screen. Yeah, a headless computer is pretty useless for anything but a server.

Ok I sort of figured there had to be more to the story.Either that or your a number 1 keyboardist. Maybe forget the screen and make it a talking computer like the blind use? They are really cool but I tried one once and it was hard.

With WiFi it wont work whilst driving as 802 lacks the ability to hand off to other sites. MotoMesh is cool and works at great speed. Anyway if your going to hang around parking lots or live in a wired city why not install it right.
Buy a WiFi antenna from Tessco and your connectors at the same time. Be aware that some wifi antennas have reverse SMA's.
Look on Tessco and you will see what I mean.
