hey all,

i hav noticed that a few years back the waris style case was changed from the M being printed on the case to being used as a label (just like the model number label). when was this done and what were the advantages of doing this anyway and what was it supposed to improve in these newer cased models (besides the looks of course)??

also, i hav a friend who works as a communications officer at my local shopping mall who says that his new GP328's (HT750's) are about 1/2 an inch longer than my older ones, i havnt been in myself to see this yet, but were the waris series once lengthened at all or does my friend have it all wrong?
BTW im talking about the big waris radios, not the little GP328 plus or EX500 series.

thanks guys (and girls) :P

The housings were improved at this time to be more robust & offer better water resistance over the older cases. The change-over occured about 3-4 years ago. Motorola initially offered to upgrade customer's radios for a reduced fee, but that is long over.
