I am trying to program my Centracom II Console with some Quick Call II Tones. I am looking to find out how do I convert the Tone Sequence to the 4 digit code for the console
Tone 1 = 2805.5
Tone 2 = 701.4
Thank you,
John

from what I am reading, it's not possible. your first tone is the problem. The closest the Centracom will match to is 2807.0 Hz. Thats fine, except that it is in group P1 and the prefix table does not have anything that starts with that group. If you have a Centracom Manual, refer to chapter 2 of the maintenance manual. They also give an example to help you follow the tables on page 2-24.
Good Luck,

The paging data in the Gold maintenance manual is much easier to use.
The closest standard Centracom tones are 2807 and 701.0
2807 = Group B, Tone B
701.0 = Group 4, Tone D
The two groups become B4 which converts to prefix A1
Hence, the Centracom four digit code is: A1BD
Wasn't that fun?
If those tones are not close enough, the System Support Center can create a custom BIM firmware chip with the exact tones you need. This will cost somewhere between $500 and $1000.

In my doc, I have the following:
2807.0 = Group P1, Tone B
701.0 = Group 5, Tone D
Did I miss something?

There is a program? Huh. I was trying to use the book and I havent had to encode QCII tones in a while. What program do you use?

Maybe I shouldn't have said that! However, yes I have a program to decode tones but, I don't believe it is on the market anywhere. I am trying to reach the source of said program to determine if I am free to share it or if it is copyrighted. I'll get back to you when I get a reply.

I have that same program, which I've shared many times over the years. Anyone who wants it, just send me a PM.
