Saber III doesn't turn on after case swap

I just swapped my Saber II with a Saber III case, connected all screws and flex. Now the darn thing won't turn on. I checked the battery and I got full 7.2V, and I made sure I didn't destroy any pins.

Any ideas guys?
Thanks

After a case swap, the lower spring contacts on the radio may be compressed far enough so they are no longer making contact with the case's internal circuit, causing the radio to fail powering up.

You can simply use your fingernails to lift up on each row of contacts and bring them up far enough to make solid contact with the bottom of the case.

Also, check to make sure the contacts in the case are not corroded or covered in oxide should the radio have been introduced to any form of wet or moist environment.

Water ingress of the case is a fast way to kill the main board as the contacts in the frame will wick moisture easily and short out the board.

I hope you also do NOT have any bent pins on any of the replaced modules, or the ref. oscillator did not come out of its socket either.

If the reference oscillator has popped out, remember this one 'trick' if you will:

Standard Sabers: The square notch faces the top of the radio.

Systema Sabers: The notch faces toward the bottom of the radio.

All the 16.8 Mhz. reference oscillators have three rounded corners and one squared, this is the reference to use when replacing the oscillators back in to the radio.

I hope you get yours back up and operational.

Hey it worked...apparently I reversed the oscillator.

Thank you very much and I hope you are enjoying your saber charger!

Not a problem!

That charger works like a charm!!

Nice to be able to charge more than a single battery at a time again!
